Zeke clenches his fist in anger, not even bothering to hide the ire on his face. "I can get home just fine.. I don't need to be baby sat!" His voice was a low growl and sounded very much unlike a child. (intimidate)
When the ministril and the Spellknight start talking about kidnapping, his pointed ears perk up and he turns his attention to them. He hops off of his chair, and pulls the hood of his cloak back over his head. He than walks to the door, passing Quel as he exits.
He knew some places that were frequented by the lower brow type that the Spellknight and Ministral were describing. In fact, the ones who had lost teeth by bothering him on his way to the inn were just the type...
Zeke headed away from the inn, hoping to intimidate some information from those very people. And perhaps, to return their teeth..

Fallen
As the LeShay makes his way through the streets, he spots a man, just barely within his sight toward the other end of Mystic's Walk. The man is tall, strong, apparently Annian, and the only other person on the Walk at this time of night apart from a few peddlers packing their carts away.
An odd, cold wind blows in, the chill of the mountains, and a fog rises suddenly around the man. The sounds of a scuffle are heard from within the fog. In a few seconds - far too little time for the Shadar Kai to intervene - the fog lifts, the man vanished along with all signs of the struggle - apart from a tiny hint of a white-scaled tail vanishing into an alleyway.
Ruffians
It doesn't take long for Ezekiel to find the ruffians - they seem to have mostly recovered from their earlier drubbing, and are lying in wait in exactly the same place they were when he first met them. At the sight of him, the group of them begins to scatter.
The Azure Minstrel
The Minstrel finishes his conversation with the Spellknight, then looks toward the stairs. A brown-haired human girl, quite young and very different from the Minstrel in appearance, has made her way down. She smiles a bit when she sees the Minstrel. "Father? If you stay up so late again, you'll miss performing for the morning crowd like you did yesterday."
The Minstrel blinks, looks to his Spellknight companion, and grins. "Seems I am being told that it is my bed time. We'll talk more tomorrow."
The Spellknight laughs. "Perhaps we will, if you can be more discrete." The Spellknight rises to leave the inn, while the Minstrel and his daughter make their ways upstairs.

Ruffians:
Zeke quickly draws his dagger and raises it above his head. "Not so fast!" With those words, his mouth opens, and his teeth shine a pale blue. An mouth made if ice, with sharp enlongated teeth forms over his own jaw. It quickly expands as it flies away from his face and slams down in the center of all the ruffians. Ice shards fly from the wreckage, hitting each thug in turn
(Power: Ice Dragon's Teeth, +5 vs Reflex. Encounter. If hits, slows targets until the end of my next turn. Hits a close burst 1 in an area within ten squares of me.)

Ruffians
The ruffians have rushed off in every direction, so Zeke's spell is only able to catch two of them. The ruffians stumble, the cold energy freezing their joints, slowing their movement enough that Zeke is able to catch up to them easily. One of the two, a halfling, turns around, raising his hands to cover his face. "Please let me keep the teeth I still have!"
The halfling's companion starts to reach for his sap, but, upon seeing the halfling's immediate surrender, sighs and gives up on the idea, dropping his weapon.

The Scalechanger
Satisfied that he will learn no more from the retiring 'bard,' the rat scurries out from his hiding place, making for the streets and the shadier parts of town. If lesser lizards are to be found, they'll be found there, the rat knows. And kobolds make for a better meal than scraps of beef and cheese.
In a dark alley across town from the Empress' Pride, the rat sheds its skin and Maluth the Scalechanger steps out, tattered cloak billowing over delicate white scales, pink eyes glaring out into the night.
The hunt begins.

Ruffians:
Zeke grins at the halfling, and his orc companion. A cruel, dark grin that exposes his still slightly blue oddly enlongated teeth.
"I'll let you keep your teeth.." He says, his voice a low, reptilian growl. "...If you tell me what I need to know.." He grabs the halfling by the shirt and hoists him into the air (16 str and atheletics +9)
He points his dagger at the orc, to remind him that he was aware of his movements incase he tried to run.
"..I want to know about the kobolds... methinks that a bunch like you might know a bit about the slave trade going on in the sewers..?" He tightens his grip on the shirt of the halfling, causing the material to close uncomfortably around the halfling's neck as he stares straight into the eyes of the frightened thug with narrowed, pale blue eyes. (intimidate +11)

Having just snuck out of the house of a locally famous chef, clutching a fresh cheese bread to her chest, Meepo slowly climbs across the wall unaided. (Sure climber feat).
She made sure to keep to the shadows, even though it was already dark, since once could never be too safe. She had treaded into Whitescale territory, and if she was found by them, she did not want to think about the consequences.
She deftly jumps off the building, the cheese bread held tight between her lizardlike jaws. She glances around and sees no one.
Meepo scurries down her favorite alley, knowing that the sewer opening to the Redscale clan's territory would soon be in sight, when she runs head first into the leg of Scalechanger.
The cheese bread was knocked from her mouth, and lands a few feet away. She shakes her head confused, and than notices the troglodyte with the delicate white scales.
Her own deep red scales blanche, and she looks terrified. "Ye... ye wouldn't happen to be a very large kobold... would ye?" Her voice quivers as she stands, brushins herself off and eyeing the cheesebread as if estimating the odds of being able to make to to the bread and escape this rather large lizard.

The Scalechanger
Maluth's scales suddenly darken as he grows in size, rising from a meager height of 6'2" to coming close to breaking 9'. His eyes flash red as they meet the tiny kobold's, as it hisses, "No thuch luck."
(Cull the Herd. +5 vs Will. Hit: 2d8 + 4 psychic damage and Meepo is pulled 3 squares toward Maluth).
Something in the troglodytes dreadful gaze urges the little lizard to come closer. . . or else.

(will defense is only +13, so lets say it hits. Owie.)
Meepo sends a glance at her lost cheesebread as she inches towards Scalechanger. While moving, she reaches to her back and draws out her goblin made crossbow.
(Goblin Totem Handcrossbow +1, more damage to creatures larger than me.)
"Me is happy ye not a kobold.. Kobolds around these parts are tricksy.. You might want to keep that in mind."
As the final words leave her lizard lips, Meepo shifts away ten feet from Scalechanger and fires off a quickshot. (Deft Strike : +7 vs AC, allows me to shift two squares before attacking. Does 1d6+5 (+4 ability, +1 due to the crossbows power.)
"Me has no quarrel with ye, lizard man... Me merely wants to return home wif my breads. If ye be lookin for a snack, Me suggests the kobolds of the whitescale tribe.. They have far fatter bellies, and purses, than mines.."
Her gaze is deadlocked with his, and her hand holds the handcrossbow steady. At her small stature of barely three feet, Meepo has the tenacity it seems of a dwarf twice her size.. and that would be a big dwarf..

The Scalechanger
Maluth sidesteps the bolt just in time, surprise written in his blood red eyes. Something in him tenses as he sizes up the kobold.
(Readying standard action: Pounce if Meepo tries to run. Pounce: +6 vs Reflex (+5 normal attack, +1 for charging). Hit: 1d8 + 4 damage and the target grants combat advantage to the next creature that attacks it before the end of Maluth's next turn. Special: When charging, Maluth can use this power in place of a melee basic attack.)
"Thlaverth," the large, black troglodyte says, "What do you know of them?" (Passive insight 19 if Meepo tries to lie)

Meepo stares at the troglodyte with her steel gray eyes. "If ye looks for slaves, you haves come to the wrong kobold! 'em with whitescales be the ones you seeks. 'Ow do ye think they fatten their purses and bellies?"
The troglodyte's insight shows that Meepo is indeed truthful, and seems to have some bent up fury against the whitescales.
"Me redscales. Redscales just out for foods. No needs to disturb the lives of them bigger folk!"

The Scalechanger
Maluth seems to shrink as the color of his scales pales back to milky white.
"I thee," He says, "You thay thethe white thcaleth are. . .meaty?" There's a hungry look in the albino troglodyte's eye.

(I'll let Scalechanger and Meepo do their thing. ) RuffiansThe halfling cowers a bit before the very angry-sounding Drow, looking to the orc for help, before the orc speaks. "Ya, we know 'bout em. Group of 'em took lil' Abby... Pierre 'ere's sistah." The halfling - apparently Pierre - nods a bit. "They took Abigail down into the sewers... everyone says they're selling their prisoners to the gnolls for food, and the gnolls are selling them to the orcs for gold. It's those Whitescale kobolds... that's why the guard can't deal with them. The guard doesn't know which kobolds are doing the abductions and which are just stealing food, and doesn't seem to care either." The orc nods. "So ya goin' t'play 'ero an' deal wit' da Whitescales? Maybe get lil' Abby back? 'Cause if ya was, we migh' see fit t' 'elp ya. An' if yer not, could ya at leas' le' us go wit' da teeth ya' lef' us wit' las time?" (Okay... so the orc has a Joisey accent.)

The Redscale Crusader:
Meepo grins slightly. "Oh yeses! They bes well fed by the gnollums that they sell the slaveses too.. Bellies out to 'ere! " She puts out the hand that isn't holding the crossbow to show just how big the bellies are.
"And meatys toos! "Otta 'ave muscles to kidnap 'hem 'igger folk yous know?"
The Dragon Kissed:
Zeke lets the halfling, Pierre, down, and looks over at the Orc, his gaze much less intimidating. "Of course I am going to try to play 'hero' as you call it.. And I'll let you keep your teeth.. if your help proves useful...?"

The Scalechanger
Maluth grunts and pulls his tattered hood over his reptilian visage.
"Thow me where they hide," He bids the kobold as he crouches down, "They will make a good thtart."
