The Wanderer
'Desmond' smiles his best smile for the benefit of the chronicler, between his fair features and his finely polished plate armor looking the part of a gallant knight.
"Desmond Jericho," He introduces himself, "Pleased to raise shield in defense of Knowledge." By his tone, there is no doubt of he capitalization of his words. By 'Knowledge' he means a proper noun.

The Pale Songstress
Carmella smiles warmly, dipping into a bit of a curtsy. "I am Carmella Snow. Dramatic songstress and gatherer of knowledge."
On her way back up from her curtsy, she locks eyes with the chronicler. "It is a pleasure to meet you, good sir."

The Unlucky (diplomat) Drawing himself up to his full height, Gamal looks down on the old man with a warm, if slightly sad, smile on his face. "My name is Gamal Stream-Enterer, and my companions and I are gracious for your help."

The Pale Songstress
Carmella is quite surprised when the one she has known as 'Roland' introduced himself as 'Gamal' but her face shows no sign of anything peculiar. (Bluff+14) She simply waits for either the chronicler to move, or to allow them passage into the library.

The Chronicler
Selen looks over the group. "An interesting bunch if ever I've met one. Is there anything I can help you to find in the Library? It is a big place; having one of its leading employees help you find what you need will likely save time."

The Wanderer
"I believe miss Snow best knows the particulars of what we seek," 'Desmond' says, nodding politely to the chronicler.

The Pale Songtress
Carmella smiles warmly. "We seek the Spirits of the Lost Tombs. I am quite interested in folklore and legends, and wish to investigate that one." (Bluff +14)

The Chronicler
The old man nods a bit. "I can tell you where the Spirits are, but there's only one key to the room, and the Chief Librarian has it. People are only let in if they are sponsored... the sponsor has to be a member of the Imperial Family, one of the High Clerics of the Sorceress, or one of the Firstborn of the Gods - a Sylan. If you talk to one of the helpers inside, you can get an application to bring to your sponsor."

The Wanderer
'Desmond' scratches his chin, pondering, "I see. . . I don't suppose you would have any advice as to how to gain a sponsor?"

The Chronicler
The old man scratches his chin. "The Imperial Family in the Palace, and the High Clerics in the Cathedral. I believe, though, that one of the Firstborn is in the City... yes. One of my workers met her. Very, very old, with the purple eyes of her people."

'Desmond' glances to the songstress, eyes wide with surprise. "You don't think. . .?"

The Pale Songstress
"Oh, I do indeed. "Carmella smiles slyly, continueing to look at the Chronicler. "Thank you for your aide sir. We will get the application, and hopefully we will be back shortly."
Carmella walks into the library, a woman on a mission. She quickly flags down a helper, and politely asks for the needed application. She only hopes that the woman she was thinking of was still at the Platypus.

The helper hands over the application without comment, bidding Carmella a good day.

The Pale Songstress
Carmella leaves the library, walking by Desmond and Gamal as she does so. She smiles, and gives a tilt with her head, motioning to them to follow. Continuing on her mission, she heads to the Pale Platypus.
She pushes open the doors, and looks around for the same purple eyed Eladrin that she had saw earlier. The one that the idiot Id had hit on as well. . .

The Wanderer
The Deva smiles softly to himself all the way back to the Platypus, as if immensely pleased to see the songstress taking so well to her new cause.
He moves off to the side of the common room when he enters the Pale Platypus, eyes trained on Carmella, watching her work with cream colored eyes and keen interest.
