Yep! If you want 'em.
If you want the mechanics of one from the FRPG, just find a spot on Anthros that makes sense for those mechanics to be from.

How about the backgrounds from phb2? They are pretty much built from the ground up, giving a fairly wide selection of bonuses.

Until there's an official ruling from WotC, I'm saying that you can use, mechanically, one background element and one Scales of War/FRPG background.

The Character Builder update today, I'm taking as an official ruling on the background thing. So... only one background.

No arguing with you, as it makes things easier on me, but the rule in phb2 pretty much says that these benefits are totally up to the dm, so it all works out in the end
