The Scalechanger
Maluth hisses as the gnoll moves to engage him, tensing his musk glands to release a small cloud of nautious, toxic gas.
((Minor Action: Stench racial power! Close Burst 1; +7 vs Fort; 1d8 + 3 Poison Damage.))
As the cloud of gas briefly conceals the Troglodyte, Maluth changes, growing to his full, black-scaled stature, eyes blazing red.
((Move -> Minor Action: Wild Shape!))
Returned to his horrid alternate form, Maluth swats lazily at the gnoll, enough force in the blow to send the creature staggering.
((Standard Action: Savage Rend! Melee 1; +6 vs Ref; 1d8 + 4 Damage and the target is pushed 1 square.))

The gnoll facing Maluth gets a look of raw terror in its eyes as the troglodyte presses the attack against it, stepping back a few steps, stumbling at Maluth's attacks.

The Redscaled Crusader
Meepo lunged at one of the remaining gnolls, attacking it quickly with her trusty whip dagger. She felt like she had been in this combat forever and wished to finish things quickly.
((Riposte Strike: +11vs. AC 1d4+6 damange, extra 1d6 if Meepo has combat advantage. If the gnoll attacks Meepo before her next turn, she makes a riposte strike as an immediate reaction at +9 vs. AC 1d4+4 damage.))

Elia
Elia knelt for a moment, breathing raggedly, and pushed away the pain in her side with an effort (Second wind). A flick of her hand wrapped eldritch chains around the most dangerous remaining gnoll, dragging him toward her subtly and throwing off his attacks. (Swordmage Mark)

The Scalechanger
Maluth responds to the gnoll's retreat with even greater agression, leaping forward, needle-toothed jaw open wide.
((Standar Action: Charge via Pounce! Melee 1; +8 vs Reflex; 1d8 + 6 damage and the target grants combat advantage to the next attack from Maluth or one of his allies before the end of Maluth's next turn))

The Narrator
The gnoll marked by Elia turns an instead attacks Meepo, swing going wild. Meepo's attack, and riposte, both hit the gnoll she's fighting, but she is herself hit by the attack that provokes the riposte. The riposte drops the gnoll.
Maluth's bite tears into another gnoll, while two more - the last two - circle toward Elia.

Elia
Elia brought her blade up in a mocking salute, then flashed into a shimmer of light and reappeared between the two gnolls, her sword flashing in a lethal flurry of blows that ripped both across throat and chest. (Move: Armanthor's Step. Minor: Swordmage Mark on the left gnoll. Standard: Sword Burst. +10 vs Reflex against both gnolls, 1d6+7 force damage against each. Also, Immediate Interrupt to reduce the damage against Meepo by 8.)

The Scalechanger
Maluth continues his attack on the gnoll, slashing into it with his claws as he draws his head back, tearing a chunk of flesh from its torso.
((Standard action: Savage Rend! Melee 1; +8 vs Reflex; 1d8 + 4 damage and the target is pushed one square. Move action: Shift 1 square, adjacent to the assaulted gnoll.))

The Redscaled Crusader
Meepo was beginning to feel tired, her muscles were aching and the wounds she had taken earlier were beginning to feel sore. However, there was still work to be done, and she could not let her redscaled brothers down. She also could not let down her new friends.
She only hoped they would remain friends after all of this.
Meepo replaces her whipdagger onto her belt, and draws the crossbow from her shoulder. Keeping her distance, she fires at the remaining gnoll at appears to be in the best shape.
((Deft Strike:Standard: You can move two squares before the attack. +11 vs. AC 1d6+7 damage(+2d6 for sneak attack.) ))

The Narrator
The party is able to finish off the remaining gnolls with relative ease, and are left surrounded by the corpses of their foes. Now that there is a chance to look around, the group sees a ladder going down into a deeper level of the sewers, and an arched passage.

Elia
Wiping her sword clean of gnoll blood, Elia took a few moments to compose herself and bind the wound in her side before glancing first down the passage, then to the latter. "The passage looks well worked. Well-traveled. The sort of place we wish to find, no?"

The Scalechanger
Maluth shrinks down to his smaller, white-scaled form, black-green residue from his released stench tinting the cracks between his scales.
He crouches down and tears a strip of flesh from the gnoll he felled, chewing into it enthusiastically a moment before shrugging, "Perhapth. . . perhapth they are trying to threaten the fragmentth of the whitethcaleth ath well?"

Elia
"At this point, no amount of foolishness on their part would surprise me." Adjusting her armor again, Elia took a moment's survey of her companions before starting down the arched passage with a gesture. "I say we venture this way, and see what fell things we can put down."

"Yous means the redscales, dont yous?" Meepo asks, looking up at Maluth as the group heads after Elia. "Whitescaleses alreadys splits aparts. Buts the Redscales, wes stronges."
Meepo grinned with determination.

The Narrator
As Meepo, Elia, and Maluth head down the corridor, the others with them - the halfling and the greyscale - go down the ladder.
The corridor leads deeper into the sewers, finally reaching a steep drop-off where the rancid water flows down into a large pool. There is an access ladder leading to a walkway around the pool, and a grated entrance on the opposite side of the chamber.
