Ask me anything you want about Hunted in this thread, and I will answer to the best of my ability!

How good are mortals at detecting whether or not one is supernatural? If I'm playing a high humanity vampire with merits that make him appear more human, all that won't be automatically undone by some sort of undead detector, will it?
On another note. . . where do dhampyrs and revenant ghouls fall into things? Its hard to distinguish these 'mixed bloods' from humans. . . could there by some that side with humans and some that side with the supernatural? Could there be humans who hunt vampires to drink or inject their blood and steal ghouldom?
Also. . . I get why humans would be afraid of vampires and werewolves. . . but what is their reasoning behind hunting mages? Do technomancers and the like fare better than more traditional arcanists?
Also. . . I must ask. . . are changelings dead in this timeline?

I just don't want to deal with changelings, because I don't know much about them? If you email me stuff to read about a changeling you want to do, I will read it, and probably allow it, cause I'm soft. As to your other questions. ..
A high humanity vampire with merits to make him seem more human would NOT be detected by some sort of "undead" detector. That's not how things work. Think of more like the Salem Witch Trials? Being accused just for being different.
And yes, there are probably humans who hunt vampires to make themselves better. I don't want to think about Dhampyrs as of yet. There are ghouls, but they usually side with their masters. There are exceptions to ever rule, of course.
And Mages are hunted because they have power that the normal people don't. Jealously. Thats why the vampires and wolves are being hunted as well. Technomancers do tend to hide themselves better than other mages, and are less likely to be caught.
So there are vampires, werewolves, and mages who have successfully hidden themselves, but understand that it gets harder and harder to hide what you are as each passing day.
And, you are a recently turned/changed/awakened/ whatever, so you're new to all this. But your master/guru/ whatever could verywell be a high humanity/technomancer thing that is willing to teach you how to hide.
Fair warning though, there are a group of Hunters who understand that some supernatural creatures can hide what they are. And these Hunters are ACTIVELY trying to devise ways to tell the difference.

I can get you a pdf of the old Changeling core book.
Basic theme of Changelings is that some fairie spirits hide in/are part of people. These people live double lives as mortals and fey, but must be careful not to lose their sense of wonder and imagination. . . if a faerie succumbs to the ennui of the modern world then they 'die' and forget about the fey world, becoming completely mundane.

I know the basic theme of Changeling, i have played it once or twice. But I don't know it nearly as well as vampire/werewolf/and mage.
So if you really want to play a changeling, I will let you Neph.
And I will handle any other changeling requests on a person by person basis. I would like to keep the majority of the players as vampires, mages, werewolves, humans, or hunters.

Oh Prince, I have but questions, three....
1) What's the format for this game going to look like? Is it a city chronicle (ie, lots of events going around a geographic area and characters coming together in varying combinations to react to those events), a party chronicle (group of characters operating together as a community of some kind) or a more narrative fiction shared space where the major focus is on individual character stories that may or may not plug in with all the other characters?
2) To what extent are the oWoD mythoi in effect for the this game? I.E. - Are werewolf characters going to be dealing with defending Gaia? How does the spirit world feel about all this? If the vampire sects have been eliminated, are the Ancients still likely to rise and devour the world at some point? Are mages still chasing ascension? If yes to any of the above, is there a mythos you're using as a core and tacking the other supernaturals into?
3) To what extent do the "monster" social structures still survive? Is there a Prince of the City, public or hidden? Clan leaders? Do werewolf clan structures still exist?

O.o. . . For you, Bladedancer, I have answers three. 1. The format of the game is going to be a bit of narrative fiction with a bit of a party chronicle. Though I suspect it will be a bit more of the former than the latter. 2. The werewolves are still defending Gaia, of course. But there are less around to do so and that is having some negative effects on the lives of werewolves and the spirit world. The ancients are not likely to rise and devour the world, at least no one thinks so. The fact that everyone is being hunted seems to be in the forefront of their minds. The mages are more focusing on staying alive, and trying to keep the alliance between themselves, werewolves, and vampires strong. 3. As for your last question, I am really going to have to answer that on a character by character basis. Since you will be a 'starting out' supernatural, you would not know necessarily of clan leaders or hidden princes. I can answer your third question more indepth whenever I recieve a character background for you. I do not want to give away all my secrets before the game actually starts. Cause than the game will be no fun.
