Back in the days when 4E had first come out, before we got a good idea of how the game balanced, Trailfoot and I cobbled together MM appendix style player stats for the troglodyte race. These stats, which currently appear on the Anthros wiki, wound up a tad bit overpowered. I understand that Trailfoot has been discussing changes to the race on the wizards forums. There hasn't been much activity on the thread in awhile, so I figured I'd post what's been said thus far and see what we make of it.
If there is one race among the mortal humanoids that can be considered truly, irredeemably evil, it is the troglodytes of the Empire of Blin.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
While the Shadow-Lords and Tereus's followers in Teras worship Darkest Suffering out of fear or a desire for power, the troglodytes worship him because they truly believe that his way is right - the the world should suffer long, then die. Feared and hated, they are the foot soldiers of Tereus's forces. While Tereus has many followers - from exarchs like the Mistress of the Night to frightened children praying for him not to notice them - the troglodytes are his favored servants.
Not all troglodytes worship Tereus, though those who do not are outcasts in their own society - and tend to be very nearly as evil as Tereus's fundamentalists. The most common group of troglodyte heretics is the Cult of the Vulture, which worships the darkest of the Raven Queen's many aspects. The cultists perform sacrifices of their own race and others alike, making them one of the few groups on Anthros that sacrifice their own species to gain favor with a god. They worship the pointless, random, often painful death that the Vulture represents, helping to bring it to others.

With
Heroic Tier Feats
Potent Stench [Troglodyte]
Prerequisite: Troglodyte
Benefit: The damage dice of your Stench ability increase from d6s to d8s.
Enlarged Stench [Troglodyte]
Prerequisite: Troglodyte
Benefit: When you use your Stench ability, you may choose to make it Close Burst 2 instead of Close Burst 1.
Wicked Blades [Troglodyte]
Prerequisite: Troglodyte
Benefit: You gain proficiency with the khopesh and +1 to damage with all light and heavy blades with the Brutal property.
Shadow-Trained Eyes [Troglodyte]
Prerequisite: Troglodyte
Benefit: You gain low-light vision.
I personally feel that Wicket Blades should be changed to
Wicked Blades [Troglodyte]
Prerequisite: Troglodyte
Benefit: You gain proficiency with all heavy blades and axes with the brutal quality and gain +2 to damage rolls with these weapons.
This change would bring the feat more in line with Eladrin Soldier and Dwarven Weapon Training (and the new Goliath feat for that matter).
I'd also like to suggest that Troglodytes be given a racial bonus to saves against poison, or outright poison resistance, at least as a feat.
